Automations
When a client runs low, your payment request goes out for you.
Save your request once, turn it on for the clients you want, and TrainerSuite sends it when they get down to the number of sessions left you choose.
It never charges a card. Your client chooses whether to pay, and you still confirm every payment that isn't by card.
Save your request once
In Settings → Automations → Automatic payment requests, set up the request you want clients to get. It can be any of the three kinds a payment request can be: a set amount, a choice of your packages, or a price per session for the number they pick.
Tip: set it to your most common pack, so a client who runs low gets the pack they usually buy.
Payment requests, explainedTurn it on for the clients you want
It is off for every client until you turn it on, from the Clients list on that page or from the client's own page.
Each client gets the request you saved, or one you change just for them.
When it sends
It sends once, when a client gets down to the number of sessions left you choose. That number is 1 to start. It won't send another while that request is still open.
If a client is already that low when you turn it on, nothing goes out on its own. Send them a request yourself if they need one now.
To start, your client gets it by email and in the TrainerSuite app, and you get an email saying it went out.
When they pay
It works like any payment request. A card payment adds the sessions right away. For anything else, the sessions are added when you confirm you were paid.
Not the same as alerts and reminders
Settings → Automations has three separate tools, each with its own switch.
- Automatic payment requests send your request when a client runs low.
- Low balance alerts only tell a client they're running low. They're off until you turn them on.
- Payment reminders follow up on payment requests that haven't been paid yet. They're on to start.
Common questions
Does an automatic payment request charge my client?
No. It sends your payment request, and your client chooses whether to pay. Nothing is charged automatically.
When does it send?
Once, when a client gets down to the number of sessions left you choose, which is 1 to start. It won't send another while that request is still open.
Is it the same as a low balance alert?
No. A low balance alert only tells a client they're running low. An automatic payment request sends them your request to pay.
Can one client get a different request?
Yes. Each client gets the request you saved, or one you change just for them.
